Arrgh. So I got this working on one site eventually.

I have now created another site on that same server, but i'm getting the same problems.

NivoGallery just isn't showing the images.

I have gallery installed and working (now)
    phpThumbOF

I need more details, do you have a link I can check?

Did you give access to the NivoGallery TVs to your new template?

Yes, although now i'm using the nivo template as a simple test

My images exist - i can see them with a simple gallery call. They are have the permissions set as 755.

I have the latest gallery installed (1.4.0). The latest phpthumbof installed (1.3.2), and the latest version of nivo gallery installed (1.0.1). I don't need anything else do I?

As nivo works on my other site, I know that my server is configured correctly (same server).

        I'm using modx 2.2

This is the default gallery call that works - [[!Gallery? &album=`panelHome`]]

nivo is set to use the same gallery 'panelHome'

        EDIT:

I have created a fresh gallery to and a new test, but still images don't show. This is what i'm seeing in the source code:

        <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

Make sure you have the If extra installed I think that may be your issue, install it and let me know if you still have issues.

Probably- What is "if extra" package? there is nothing called that in the modx repository/package management. Where do i get it?

            Thanks

That's strange it should be in the repo but if it's not showing up for you just install it manually, here's the link to the package http://modx.com/extras/package/if

oh right, no I already have package called "if" installed. It's version 1.1

I thought you meant a package called "ifextra"

I can't seem to uninstall this "if" package, it's just always there

                  Success.

A forced removal of IF and a reinstall did it.

                  Thanks for the help
