@x0149128 honestly I don't know what to say, everything looks fine.
It could be something with your local dev environment, honestly have no idea.
Does a regular gallery call work? Make sure phpThumbOf is also installed if I didn't mention that before.
Just checked phpThumbOf is installeld ok
A simple gallery call works e.g. [[!Gallery? &album=`My Album`]] it shows 3 thumbnails of my images. However it does nothing more, clicking on an image doesn't bring up the full size version of anything.

@x0149128 I think I know what your problem is, looking at your earlier code it seems you have your assets folder inside a testsite folder
.
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/testsite/assets/components/gallery/css/web.css" type="text/css" />
If that is the case then NivoGallery wont work since it installs the files into the assets folder, do a view source on the page and click on the css and javascript files if you get a 404 or it redirects you to the homepage then thats the problem.
Make sure to fix the paths in the NivoThemes and NivoScripts chunks to match where you have the files located on your install.
Let me know if that solves the problem.
I'm not quite sure i follow.
127.0.0.1/testsite/ is the base url or my site. This is the folder the site is in on my development server.
Should I not have my assets folder there?
Coming from Evo, assets were always in the assets folder which was located at the base url

@x0149128, change this line in the NivoGallery template
<base href="[[++site_url]]"></base>
to this
<base href="[[++base_url]]"></base>
Hopefully that takes care of the problem, please post back your results so I can change that line in the next update.
Thanks.
Hi benmarte,
I'm trying to use your nivoGallery because it looks perfect for what I want to realize in a design I have to convert to a modx site.
Unfortunately I'm experiencing the same problems as x149128. I've installed phpThumbOf, If, gallery 1.4.0 rc
I only get the drop-shadow around the image box and the arrows to navigate. I really have no idea what I've done wrong...
Could you help me?
greetz
Yannick
Unfortunately the <base href="[[++base_url]]"></base> didn't seem to change anything.
I will see if i can get it uploaded to my hosting over the next couple of days.

I honestly don't know what is causing the issue that prevents NivoGallery from working on a local install.
I too have noticed a few issues on my local setup when I was making updates to it over the holidays but did not look into it and just moved to doing the updates on a online test install I have.
I didn't experience the issue some people are having that it won't display at all but it did act up a bit on some occasions, due to my limited time I didn't look further into it.
Thanks.
