make sure you send
this param
configs: this.config.configs
to the xdbedit-connector
without that xdbedit will not load the config-file(s)
use firebug to see what happens with your requests
Ah, that’s the problem..
But is there a way to set an "configs" param for inline editing? I only can set extra stuff in the "data" param via saveParams.. >:(
And there seems to be no listener to create your own request..

On the instruction page: https://github.com/Bruno17/xdbedit/wiki,
3.Create config-file
Where? What is the intended pathway for this step?
all config-files for different tables or table-joins or projects/tasks go into the folder ’/core/components/xdbedit/configs/’, where the example.config.inc.php is stored.
lets say you have a table for blog-articles, which you want to manage with xdbedit, create a config-file with name ’blog.config.inc.php’, modify it to your needs for that table and in step 6 do:
* Lexicon Key: manageblogs
* Action: xdbedit-index
* Parameters: &configs=blog <-this is to load your config-file

bit late here. I needed this today and found this solution:
in your grid:
,autosave: true
,save_action: 'mgr/'+Xdbedit.customconfigs.task+'/updateFromGrid'
,saveParams: {configs: config.configs }
in your updateFromGrid-processor:
$data=$modx->fromJson($scriptProperties['data']);
$modx->xdbedit->config['configs']= $data['configs'];
$modx->xdbedit->loadConfigs();
$config=$modx->xdbedit->customconfigs;
Hello Bruno,
I’ve been trying to get access to my custom table via a snippet but I’ve been having some problems. I tried following the snippet-example you posted earlier on this forum but I don’t seem to be able to get it to work. I’m using echo $count; to see if $count has anything but it stays at 0. I’m pretty new to using custom classes so I think the snippet isn’t correctly ’connecting’ to my class. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks, Renne
your schema and classes are created?
Yes they are, the table has data too. I think I’m just missing something really easy..
you can try the loopDbChunk-snippet for revo to get you records.
