Thanks, Bruno. I’m going to check everything again, but when I run the action nothing appears to happen (to screen anyway).
1. I downloaded the new package and replaced the contents of /assets/components/xdbedit and core/component/xdbedit. I also created /core/components/example/ and copied the new class and schema there.
2. I created the table ’telephonedir’ to match the schema in /core/components/example/model/schema/example.mysql.schema.xml
3. I have created the menu action as described in the wiki
4. I created the TVs
5. I flushed all sessions.
The example.config.inc.php file has a customconfigs[’prefix’]=’modx_example_’; setting. I’ve tried changing this (it looks to me like the table is referenced elsewhere as ’telephonedir’ with no prefix (and it is ’telephonedir’ in my database) - but nothing changes.
Where should I be looking next?
Writer > E-consultant > MODx developer || Salesforce || modx 2.x || PHP 5.2.13 || MySQL client 5.0.86
you should not change anything. The example.config.inc.php is correct as it is!
you don’t need to create your table. This ist done by xpdo automatically.
the created table is named: modx_example_telephonedir
so when you use as prefix modx_example_ and as tablename telephonedir (as it is in the config-file) all is ok.
for your menue-entry did you choose xdbedit-index as action
and &configs=example as parameters ?
what is the url of your action? (in your browser address-field)
what says firebug? request/respond?
Action URL - http://localrevo/manager/?a=71&configs=example
Looking at the database action 71 is:
71 xdbedit 0 index 1 xdbedit:default,file
Firebug says:
Xdbedit is not defined
http://localrevo/manager/?a=71&configs=example
Line 25
Writer > E-consultant > MODx developer || Salesforce || modx 2.x || PHP 5.2.13 || MySQL client 5.0.86
seems /assets/components/xdbedit/js/xdbedit.js is not loaded correctly
can you check that?
Ok, Bruno. I want you to stay nice and calm now, and put down any heavy objects that may be throwable.
I’d mistyped the xbdedit folder name in assets. Oops.
However, I can’t get it to save a record, or edit a record properly (the region TV defaults to A and doesn’t recognise when it’s been set to something else). I’m assuming this is simply because the form doesn’t match the schema constraints. I’ve probably taken up enough of your time today, so I will keep thumping away at the keyboard and hope something works eventually.

Hi bruno,
i install xdbedit package with example table.
work nice,
how to do for delete a row ?
Thanks for your help
Laurent
I’ve here a project with delete/trash view/remove-functions.
I think I can upload them to git today or a modified version of example-package.
