I’ll change it to ’Add Rule’ so it shows up more.

May I also suggest "Create New Rule" to be consistent with the System Settings page?

Actually, I think at some point it’d be good for somebody to make all of the tables like this in the manager consistent. For example, the Contexts one says "Create New", but the system settings says "Create New Setting." It’s a small thing, but it’d be that much better if it was consistent. Obviously that’s not a high priority task, though.
I'm learning more about MODx all the time and loving it.

        Hi,

Trying to add a rule..I click on the "action" field drop down menu and nothing loads. Isn’t it supposed to load the available actions so that I can select one?

        cheers/k

          Kogondo,

Yes, it is. Try force-refreshing your browser, and clear the browser-cache. If that doesn’t work, clear your site cache. If that doesn’t work...tell me if you get any errors in the console, and I’ll look at it in the morning. tongue

Still doesn’t work. Here’s the error log (snipped - the errors are all in connectors/security/forms/rule.php and manager/index.php).

Did you happen to rebuild the core transport zip and run setup upgrade?

I cleared and rebuilt everything and I’m seeing an empty grid and empty dropdowns (FF 3.5.2/Vista). I also have the same error in the error log as Kongondo.

We’ve recently added a new feature to MODx Revolution 2.0.0 in SVN, and it’s something we call Form Customization. It’s based loosely on the ideas from ManagerManager, the excellent plugin for MODx Evolution.

Form Customization allows you to customize fields and tabs on any manager page using MODExt, Revolution’s ExtJS implementation. Yes, this means nearly every page that has form fields. Resource pages, Snippet pages, Plugins, Contexts, etc. You can change titles, hide fields, hide tabs, hide TVs, etc.

So this is even better than ManagerManager? Sounds very cool!!

This is a great idea, can you create an ’improvement’ ticket in Jira for it? (Jira’s not just for "bugs"!) If you have time to add detail, such as creating a list of all your suggestions across the manager, I’m sure you’ll see it implemented faster.
