    A cost to develop of $2,270,866 over 1.57 years with 10.74 developers on an average salary of $56,286, wow!
    If only we got paid that much. smiley

    Don’t know about the salary but the rest is definitely on par with a well developed medium range commercial application, this doesn’t include templates, or javascript and its missed the manager directory for some reason so if anything this is a bit low.
    The manager/ dir and JS is about 1/2 the development in MODx.

    Fun stuff.

      Yes, it’s larger than the above, gives a rough idea of scale and effort involved though, and doesn’t of course measure the effort put into running the web site/forums/svn/jira/crucible et al. not to mention marketing/promotion etc. May be an eye opener for some folks.

          OK guys, just updated to latest SVN(4645), all is well, when I login now I get the new look(looks OK to me) but it starts with asking me if I want to create a new resource with a ’page settings’ pane on the left. I assume it should do this. It’s just that I rarely want to do this on login. I guess I’m missing the ’configuration check’ and ’news’ tabs which now appear when I press ’cancel’.

            Yes, I’ve just applied a javascript counting patch to the sloccount rpm and rebuilt it, /manager contains 52968 lines of js, against 64753 of php all in, this bangs the total SLOC up to 118,694, nearly double that above, now costs $4,071,851!!! Ok, who wrote the 36 lines of Pascal?

              Yeah, we need to add back in the Welcome page. That’s on the to-do list for today.

                OK guys, after updating today I’ve hit a javascript problem, the scripts I’ve been working on for the DocManager conversion now don’t seem to know what ’Ext’ is, i.e its not defined. Also the template loads itself above the top of the manager screen, as though its not doing the ’load header’ as ticked in the action box. So, I’m not getting the ext-all.css script et al from header.tpl. Does this make sense to you? I’m not really sure of myself with JS yet but whatever is happening started today, thought I’d ask here before I raise a ticket.

                    What I have found is that in my original controller code I was doing this :-
                    $modx->smarty->display('changetemplate.tpl')
                    (from the docs and this did work)

                    What I have to do now is :-
                    return $modx->smarty->fetch('changetemplate.tpl');

                    and all is well again.

                    Like the new welcome screen format as well.
