It’s been moved, you can find it here now: http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/MODx097/Development+and+Testing+Notes

(The answer was actually hidden a page or two back in this thread ;-))

Edit: Note to self: Remember to copy an URI when you want to paste it...

    Thanks so much!

      Hi there!

Seams that this link http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/MODx097/Development+and+Testing+Notes is dead.
I tried it several times, but ...

      Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /docs/display/MODx097/Development+and+Testing+Notes.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Please can someone of the moderators check this.

      Greetings,
      Michael

        It is working for me.

I would say that it is your host or ISP that is having problems unless there were problems with the server this morning.

I’m not sure where to ask this, but should I be able to download from SVN and then run the setup?

I did this and setup keeps getting stuck at action=install. I would just like to know if it is something I am doing. I have installed Modx 0.9 on this server/database before, so it isn’t something related to that.

I was just interested/excited to peek behind the curtain. If there are other geeky things that need to be done, I’ll just wait for the beta.

            Looking forward to great things.

Assuming you read this http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/MODx097/Development+and+Testing+Notes did you follow this:

              * Checkout or export the latest 0.9.7 code from SVN at the URL http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/0.9.7
              * If this is the first time you are building from SVN, copy the file build.config.sample.php to build.config.php and edit the properties to point at a valid database with proper credentials. NOTE that this database does not have to contain anything; the build script just needs to be able to make a connection to a MySQL database.
              * From the command line, change your working directory to _build/ and execute the command "php transport.core.php". This process will take an extended period of time (100 to 250 seconds likely), so be patient. (Note: on Mac Mini (1.66Ghz Intel Core Duo with 2GB RAM) running the Leopard development environment as outlined below, this only takes 5-10 seconds.)
              * Once that script is finished executing, confirm that you now have a file named core/packages/core.transport.zip and a directory core/packages/core/ containing a manifest.php and many other files/directories.
              * Now you are ready to execute the new setup script at the setup/ URL (e.g. http://localhost/modx097/setup/ if installed in a subdirectory of the web root named modx097/).
              * Make sure you check both the "Core package has been manually unpacked" and "Files are already in-place" options when installing from SVN.
              * If you change any paths on the Context Paths setup step, make sure and move the corresponding directories as appropriate; this is intended for installs from the core package with files not already in-place, where the installer will place the files in the specified locations (assuming the locations allow the PHP process to write to them).

Oops, sorry. embarrassed That link looks familiar. I had seen it before, but didn’t see it when I was downloading the files. I think I was bouncing around in something called Fisheye, trying to figure out what was going on. Looks like I should have been in Dashboard.

                Thanks for your help!

                      I download build ver.: 3653

follow this guide, step by step:
                      http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/MODx097/Development+and+Testing+Notes

Everything ran smoothly till I ran setup and it was totaly blank, empty.
Yes, I have installed PDO mysql driver, also tested PDO driver with my own script and PDO mysql works fine.

                      Url setup:
                      http://blog.xydomain.com/setup/

                      PHP ver.: 5.2.5
PDO Driver for MySQL, client library version: 5.1.23-rc
                      PDO drivers: sqlite, mysql

a few more details, I got this:
                      /core/packages/core.transport.zip

                      /core/packages/core/:
                      /modAccessPolicy
                      /modAction
                      /modContentType
                      /modContext
                      /modContextSetting
                      /modEvent
                      /modMenu
                      /modSystemSetting
                      /modUserGroup
                      /modUserGroupRole
                      /modWorkspace
                      manifest.php
