Image TV not working

Image TV isn’t working for me either. I’ve done this many times on many Evo sites. No problem.

magic_quotes_gpc is off.

The only thing I can think of is that getResources doesn’t like the TV?


The TPL has the TV as:


It outputs the alt but not the image.
Wondering if Revo is not properly executing its syntax? Kinda over my head.

All I know is that the Image TVs are not working. I’m looking into getResources to see if I find a solution there but....

You have to prefix "tv." eg. [[+tv.blog-image]]

Yes, you’ll need a tv. prefix there, or in your getResources call, add this: &tvPrefix=``

Thanks for the tip. Since the default tvPrefix in getResources is already "tv." adding "tv." to my TPL should do the trick.

so I marked it up like this:


That didn’t work. It might be worthwhile to note that Custom TVs - and this is what it is, right? - need the plus character and prefix in order to work.

Now onto figure out why the File Browser doesn’t let me upload images from within the Resource editor. It does when I use it via the Files tab.

But when I try to upload an image via the TV tab while creating a new blog post, it says

The webserver doesn’t have the necessary permissions to upload to the directory

Not sure if this is an Apache issue, or JSON or what it is. All I know is that I can upload to any 777 directory via the Files tab browser, but not within the Resource Editor.

I’m having the exact same problem too - when I create a TV for images it is just showing the TV name on each resource page but no control for actually selecting the image to use. Issue occurs in both IE and firefox even after clearing site cache, browser cache and all cookies.

I have tested it with Revo pl 7210 and 7212 on different hosting servers. File and Image tv-fields are not shown. At the same time disappear category tabs of elements.

Did you click on the ultra tiny black arrow for your TV?

Please state:

- MySQL/PHP version
- Server version
- Browser and OS
- Advanced or Normal Revo distribution
- The exact steps you took to create the TV
