Image TV not working

I’m experiencing the exact same problem. I also tested some other TVs. File, Date and Radio Options don’t work either but URL and Text do. To test Radio Options I used the same settings as I always used in Evo, don’t know if that’s still correct?

I’m also on a server using:

MySQL version 5.0.91-community
PHP version 5.2.13

I also tested on a couple of different browsers with cleared cache.

It probably is a bug. If I first manually add a record through phpMyAdmin for the Image TV in modx_site_tmplvar_contentvalue for a specific resource then the Image TV widget appears. In fact... the Radio Options TVs also appear in that specific resource which they didn’t do before.

But it only works for the resource I manually added a record for. The other resources still don’t display the Image TV widget and Radio Options.

Hold up guys; I’m able to get each and every one of those TVs working normally, with no bugs, in a few different environments.

Can you, in detail, go through the *exact* steps you are doing to setup one of these TVs that dont work for you?

Here are my steps:

• Elements » New TV
• Enter Name, Caption, Description
• Input Type » Image
• Template Access » Choose Templates I want to use TV for » Save

Just tried it on a different Revo install on the same server and everything works ok. This is a clean install. The old one had 5 packages installed.

So on the old one it’s not working? Is the old one RC3 or PL?

Also, what packages did you have installed?

Sorry... let me clear some things up.

Both are PL but one is installed on www.example.com and the other one on test.example.com. Both are located on the same server.

The one on test.example.com didn’t work and had these packages installed: codemirror, ditto, gallery, if and tinymce.
I uninstalled these afterwards to test if these had something to do with it but still no luck.

The one on www.example.com does work. The only thing I did after the install was adding an Image TV to test it and it works.

I’m already installing another Revo PL install on a different subdomain for another website i’m developing so i’ll be able to test soon if it works there. Maybe I messed up on the test.example.com install...?

The install was originally RC3 but has been upgraded to PL. I’ve tried viewing it in opera, Safari and Firefox, cleared all cache in the browsers and site cache but still no luck.

To Create the TV I just right click and select create TV, give it a name and select image from the dropdown ( all other details are left as they are ) I then assign the TV to a template and save it.

As you can see from the images above it pulls through the name of the created TV but not the input box.

I’m more than happy you give you full access to the system if you need it and thanks for looking into this for me.

There’s definitely something screwy on the test install; maybe a file wasn’t uploaded, or something, especially since it works on your normal install.

Make sure magic_quotes_gpc is off, btw. Sometimes that can mess with JSON params.

If that doesn’t work, try upgrading again. (I know, annoying, but I dont know what else to tell you.)
