I confirmed the following : When it runs on MySQL5.1 provided by other repository, the query can be executed without trouble. If you are going to install Revo without hacking, you may make the AMP stack by Blastwave’s packages (http://www.blastwave.org/).

Notice:
I’ve taken some trouble is related to intallation of MySQL. In short, you shouldn’t use Package Manager GUI tool to access Blastwave’s repository.
A guru of OpenSolaris said; the IPS packages on Blastwave has been not maintained as well as the CSW packages. I recommend once again for you that you shouldn’t use Package Manager GUI tool to access Blastwave’s repository. You can use pkgutil command to install the CSW packages.

I have set up 2 zones in opensolaris 2009.06, and have confirmed enogu statement, MODX works with
MySQL5.1 from the blastwave repository, but not with the MySQL5.1 from the opensolaris IPS package.
Hmmmm, anyone no why??
When I instaled the Mysql5.1 from blastwave, i used the default options, so it uses the small.cnf
option, so I will be checking the .cnf files, between the two instalations. However, I’m a bit new to all of this, so any pointers on where to check , will be most usefull

Sorry. I had been forgetting to tell that Blastwave’s IPS package are not fine.
I recommend you to use the CSW packages with pkgutil command.

Run a diff on the two my.conf and see what is different. First guess, is number of sockets open, and memory settings.

I haven’t been on a Solaris system in about two years, so I can’t shoot any closer than suggesting the diff.

Anybody on this thread have a working SEF url strategy on solaris?
