It would be nice if the instuctions / descriptions textareas could be more taller, or a way to open certain textarea more bigger in a popup window.. The textareas come very cramped when scrollbars are visible. There is only 5 rows of text visible in the instructions field..

Now that I’ve added a few resources into the repository, I agree the textareas are a bit cramped. It’ll be easy enough to enlarge them a bit.

Just going back to the <pre> tags, I think I’m actually going to rework them. I think wrapping them in a <div> tag similar to how SMF handles them will be a better solution.

Is there any chance we could alter the display of each repository item to include a link to the support thread?

Better yet, could we figure out some way to tag support threads and add them to the related repository item? By id?

Anybody else having a problem with displaying samples of HTML code? If I don’t use HTML entities in the form fields, I get the HTML rendered (if I’m trying to display a comment, for example, nothing is displayed). If I use HTML entities, the entity codes are displayed (&lt...); when I edit the form the form field displays the tags properly, and if I save at that point the HTML is rendered again.

I had/have the same problem i used a space between the < and the htmltag that way it worked but broak the layout so i added some enters here and there to shorten the line.

The overflow:auto for the description field is not working in IE

this works great in FF
(please also check IE, 90% of the people in the world are using IE so lets make shure that everything we make works on IE so that people can see that ModX indeed works good on all platforms)

Yes, there was a problem with slightly over-aggressive content filtering. I have now modified the content filtering so this shouldn’t be an issue anymore.

Thanks, Dimmy - I have modified the stylings that are used for displaying the code snippets and the scrollbars are now displaying.

Guys,

The download page load quite slow on my end. My first thought is the problem from the php system that is overloaded by the amount of data, but on second thought, I think the use of script aculos and prototype does make the system load really slow on dialup. Well I never have this problem before, but from my opinion, if we can use other library such as moo.fx, it will be awesome, but as for now, it works just fine though, because once its loaded, the site load quite fast.

PS: Pardon my slow connection. I use dialup at my home now, but I have cable during the day wink

I have another question why do we need 2 pages for each entry?

the first: http://modxcms.com/docAPI-559.html (compleate with instructions downloads etc)
the 2nd: http://modxcms.com/docAPI-0.2.1-0.html (also compleate)
could we not have just one page with all the info?

Can we merged the previous forum topic for some of the resources with the one stored on the new resources database? So we are not loosing all those precious replies and discussion.

It will be so awesome if we are able to see a link for filtering the resources based on MODx version. Another nifty feature will be to add sorting option in sorting all the filtered resources according to the date added, resources type, resources name, and etc.

What do you guys think?
