I think it looks cool but is a usability non-starter from the standpoint that it pushes the content down way too far on 800x600 monitors. You only see essentially 1 featured item at that resolution even as it is now. With the vertical additional space, it’d be even less.

So what should we do? Add it or leave it as is? If we want to use images we could probably do something with some rounded corners in the sidebar taht includes all items under Resource Repository?

I think it is fine as it is, and I’m sure some new link requirement will crop up in the first week of live usage so it is probably best to wait.

Congrats for going public!

I’m marking the day as repo birthday, gonna flag for it every year too! grin

The font in the resource mainpage at description/install blocks is much larger than when viewing a specific item. Should it be? I like the smaller font better..

When having nested snippet calls, the layout goes bad.

I would like it alot if there would be a preview links beside the descriptions and instructions fields, so I can review my BBCODE before posting.. It shouldn’t be too hard to do it as a popup window for example (ajax solution would be ultimate) what opens a modx document that has a snippet to parse the passed bbclone and show the results with the repo css, and widths ofcourse.. we can do this right? please, pretty please..?

Currently, there is only one star rating per resource. We just set it up to display the star rating at all possible points of entry.

We did comtemplate having separate ratings for each release/extra but decided, at the time, not to so that votes could accumulate with each release rather starting from zero every time. (given the rapid rate at which some releases come out wink

)

I’m not sure if it was intended or not, so don’t want to go changing anything yet (and I might end up screwing something up laugh

Wrapping the snippet call in [ code ] tags rectifies that problem. (I have noticed that the <pre> tags aren’t word wrapping though, I did add some CSS for this yesterday, anybody know where it went?)

Certainly something to look into ... I was thinking about the same thing yesterday when I was making some bbcode changes. Be nice if we could mimic the SMF ’Preview’ option.

It would be nice if the instuctions / descriptions textareas could be more taller, or a way to open certain textarea more bigger in a popup window.. The textareas come very cramped when scrollbars are visible. There is only 5 rows of text visible in the instructions field..
