TP3.3 internal test build

    OK... I just did an update on an existing site from 3.2 in production and it went flawlessly and fixed some little issues... so, let’s have a quick blast at fixing the bugs listed in the tracker that can be resolved quickly and figure out what we’re going to call it and get this out today or tomorrow ...

      What defaults should be enabled that currently are not in the manager? I think Access Permissions being on is a major one that should be on by default.

        yeah, for Blog users I think its good to set it ON by default, as Micheal (Piker) was having problems with that also wink

          Does anyone know the cost of having Access Permissions on by default for users who will never use them? I imagine that this adds a least some overhead to the parser? If it is significant, I would leave Access Permissions off by default. In our guide to security we can stress the need to turn Access Permissions on in order to take advantage of those features.

            Access permissions being on by default would alleviate headaches for people using websusers which need the roles for commenting and blogs.

              REMINDER: The quickedit menu is unusable in IE 6 (note a few versions ago it did).

                  Mark, what are you doing your testing on, pixelhick?

                  Pixelhick.com seems to have an old QE version, one I think we did some testing with, and isn’t working. But the 3.3 downloads seem to work fine with IE.

                      Sorry folks, but in IE 6 on WinXP the new QuickEditor menu is still unusable on my install.

                      If anyone needs screenshots or video (text can’t quite explain whats happening) let me know.

                      UPDATE:
                      I am now doing research to find out which previous version worked in IE.
                      In NewsListing there is no actual code associated with [+linkurl+] located in the snippet heading comments
                      In FF the flicker is annoying.

                      Also, FYI default content creates a 1/2 mb db
