It looks very nice, but very different from the workup I am currently developing. The problem I notice is that an insubstantial amount of the workflow is performed using the textual navigation links. Therefore, assigning them even more screen real estate poses a problem.

I’m trying to work up some DHTML that will be similar to the scripts already in use in the manager. It will force a shortcut menu of commonly used functions, and then have tabs to drill down into specific features if necessary.

The color scheme is very subdued, which I like!


I should have some sort of working model done sometime soon. I’ve been a bit sidetracked with personal stuff, but it should all be done relatively soon!

Very nice layout.

Two things I’d really like to see in the next TP3 that I hope is simple to add:

1) Zi and Speedstreet’s manager layouts/skins. We need to really break the association with Etomite. Now and forever.

2) Login to manager separated from accesscontrol.inc.php. On my end it messes up Firefox and Safari’s password managers. And I perosonally prefer animation-free login windows that can be more easily styled by CSS. Etomite credit needs to go, as do any license related things... those were addressed at install.

As far as I understand it, credit or copyright information does not need to be displayed in any program output. It does need to be left in the source code you’re using under the GPL.

Looks nice. But it also looks like it would be very heavily dependent on images and tables. My attempts have been to streamline the code and make more bandwidth room for the DOM bloat.

Is it just me, or am I once again met with two people working on the same exact thing trying to accomplish the same thing???

Hi John. I want to make sure we have an alternative for the next Tech Preview. We can in fact have multiple manager skins. Not quite certain when you’re going to be able to complete your work given your other personal things that are going on. Zi’s is more or less of a minor tweak of existing code, which can be tossed in immediately. I’d suspect yours will require a bit more time to get it worked out.

Is that a fair assesment?

Now this is looking very nice Zi. As for round corners you might want to check out Susan’s NityCorners script that was posted in the forums sometime ago.

Maybe it’s just me but I don’t think I like the Purple/Pink colors. Maybe we can have another color theme along with this one? Having to sets fors users to choose from
