Next Major Code overhaul

We’re now approaching feature completeness, and should be transitioning to major cleanup and bug stabilization mode. Raymond will be committing his module code to his branch any moment now. In the meantime, here’s a video clip to view of some of the module stuff working to enable a Rich Text editor in the Manager as a plugin. It’s about REALLY get fun this time folks!

Here’s a couple more videos for perusal. One shows the new Event log viewer and the other shows the Modules functioning.

I’m wondering how permissions will affect the interface? For example, an editor who only has access to changing/adding content, will he still see Modules and Resources?

I’ve commit my changes to my SVN branch (raymond). It’s an incompleted version bubt should work for the most part. Do not apply to live sites, used only for testing.

Re: modules:

You can restrict user to each and every module installed. You have the option to allow some users to run modules while others can’t. You’ll also have the option to only allow a manager to use a module. Meaning that’s the only thing that will run inside the manager.

I’m trying to install at pixelhick.com for everyone to play with, but am running into a few issues. We’ll get them worked out ASAP.

Not be be a priss, but has anyone done any work on Manager Interface? At the very leat, I think that first release may want to have at least a different color scheme...

If nobody is working on this, I would be more than happy to take a swing at it.
