Is MODx Web Development book relevant to Revolution?

I’ve been reading the "very dry" resources information for Revolution, but still feel like I’m missing something. I’ve not used a CMS before, and I do better with books rather than catching snippets of info here and there.

Would anyone recommend the Web Development book for a newbie on Revolution?

Also, I’ll be transferring my stock photography site templates to modx, any tips for addons?

MODx will be publishing the book. ETA: When it’s finished. The book is over 1500 MS pages in Word. The writing is done, but there’s still a lot of editing and design work to be done and it needs an index, which can’t be done until there is a paginated version.

I’d suggest you to split them as Administration Guide Ed., and Application Development on MODx Ed.

Don’t shoot all your reader targets at once, you’ll miss a lot of bullets.

Packt is looking at several MODx Revolution books, but they probably won’t be out until 2011.

I don’t mind if it’s 1500 pages. I always prefer holding a book (or put it on a bookstand if it’s too heavy ) than collecting all kinds of references from the Net (at least, when I’m new with some subject ’cause Googling is not avoidable).

However, I hope something better then Word will be used to typeset it.

All in all, I’m looking forward to buy Revo book.

It won’t be that long in book form and it won’t be set in Word.

I’ve seen preliminary design work and it looks beautiful.
