I’m guessing that’s your main (top) menu call, not the sub menu.
Also it’s the Wayfinder chunks being used that might give a clue.
Thanks. So do i ned another chunk for the child pages or how will i fix it?
If you want, PM me a login and I’ll have a quick look.
Hi, a quick question to follow-up on this thread as it touched what I am challenged with. David and another gentleman asked about whether the problem was with Wayfinder. If the problem is dynamic links with Wayfinder or Ditto and simple links are rewritten fine but dynamic links are not working what can be done?
My dynamic link is
../ModX/index.php?id=2&start=3
And it is being rewritten as
../Modx/textiles.html?start=3
With these rules (on IIS)
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^$
RewriteRule ^/modx/(.*)$ /modx/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
I appreciate any advice. Thomas

Looks like that is being rewritten okay.
How did you want it to end up?
Hi David, As this dynamic link is being rewritten I am getting an error "the system cannot find the file specified."
Some more info for you, turning off SEO and the dynamic link returns another page of dynamic links. Turning SEO back on and the above error.

Hi Dave, I had had the "RewriteEngine On" in my filter but not the RewritBase /modx. To clarify I am on IIS 6 and so I am using a ISAPI Rewrite filter from Ionic and in some documents there I saw that they had commented out RewriteBase on IIS installations. I did check your second bit of code but the installation sits in the modx directory and so the last code does need to have the directory specified or it will not find the files. I apologize as I should have given the entire filter before rather than just the rewrite conditions. Here it is now:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /modx
StatusUrl /iirfStatus
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^$
RewriteRule ^/modx/(.*)$ /modx/index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
Where I am at is: Turn off SEO and everything works. Turn on SEO with the above filter and when I have a straight rewrite where
"index.php?id=2" is rewritten as say "textiles.html" everything works fine as id=2 alias is "textiles." However, in dynamic links, such as in this case the Ditto snippet, when "index.php?id=2&start=3" is rewritten as "textiles.html?start=3" there is a problem. I was under the impression that the server still sees the link as "index.php?id=2&start=3".
But as a left-handed dyslectic something is backwards. I did see somewhere a caution that not all snippets work with rewrite filters and that is why I picked up on what was said before when it was asked whether the dynamic link came out of a snippet like Wayfinder.
Thanks
