Does ’Stable’= beta5?

Actually, all the Betas have been fairly stable (an occasional SVN build has not, though all serious problems have been corrected almost immediately).

The front end has been tremendously stable throughout all the Betas and most of the problems have been minor hitches in the Manager such as settings not saving properly or default values of TVs not being set properly.

We desperately need more people reporting problems with the current Beta version.

FYI: http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/Revolution/ is generally more stable than

http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/tattoo/tattoo/branches/2.0/ which is the bleeding edge version.

It’s there and writable.

i like how you include option to test database connection during install.

but curious why ’latin_swedish_ci’ comes up as default collation (with latin1 charracter set).

is that cool?

i am running/using mysql 5.0.85-community on centos linux vps in usa.

i kinda thought utf8_unicode would be default, no?

or utf8_general.

MySQL defaults are latin_swedish_ci and have been forever. We’re just reading your MySQL server settings. I suggest using utf8 for sure.
