What does your call look like for the search form, and what does your call look like for the landing page?

Hello again and thank you for taking the time to look into this.

This is the search call from the template:
      [!AjaxSearch? &extract=`1` &ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_showResults=`0` &AS_landing=`8`!]

This is the landing page call:
      [!AjaxSearch? &AS_showForm=`0`!]

Only thing that I think I modified from the instructions was the landing page number.

This works perfectly in 0.95 but not in 0.96 with AjaxSearch 1.6. I had to revert to AjaxSearch 1.1 for it to work.

      Cheers,

      Andreas

        Try this:

        Landing page:

        [!AjaxSearch? &AS_showForm=`0` &ajaxSearch=`0` &extract=`1`!]

        Template:

        [!AjaxSearch? &ajaxSearch=`0` &AS_landing=`9`&extract=`1` &showMoreResults=`1` &extract=`0`&AS_showResults=`0`!]

If that doesn’t work, try posting your request in the 096 Issues Thread:

          Amazing!

AjaxSearch works as a dream now in 0.96. Thank you very much for your help (again).

          Cheers,

          Andreas

Hello to the OP, I have a couple of problems.

              Here is my portal: www.ruthlessintent.com/cms/

I followed your readme but still have these problems:

              - The search bar does not work (I read the above posts, didn’t help). At first it worked - although it only returned the same two results for anything typed in - and now for some reason it doesn’t work at all. If I use the search at the top of the page, it takes me to the search results page but always has NO results (that happened when the search bar was semi working as well).

              - I’ve done everything in the readme, but the right blocks just won’t work. I’ve put the login code etc and previewed it and it shows up, but when you try to see it on the main page nothing shows up apart from the title.

I am going to be out of town for the weekend, but do you have an AjaxSearch call on your landing page? What are the two AjaxSearch calls you are using? (One for search form and one for landing page)? Details details details...What version of MODx are you using? What version of AjaxSearch are you using? The more information you provide, the easier it will be for us to answer, and consequently the quicker you will receive an answer.

                    Sweet smiley

Login now works as intended for both user categories.
Sorry for not catching that manager users can not use the front end login. Should have paid attention in class.

For a quick fix I just put a admin link on the bottom of the login form that forwards the user to the manager login.

Thanks for the quick response smiley

                    cheers,

                    Andreas

Maybe a usefull tip, I have "manager users" (read editors) redirected to the page I want. By setting this in security/manager users/user/users tab/Manager Login Startup, and fillout the ID of the page there.
Almost as if they login at the front end.
