    I am trying to modify multiflex beta. I would like widen the left column and later make it rich text editable.
    So I first adjust the layout4_setup.CSS:

    .main-navigation {display:inline /*Fix IE floating margin bug*/; float:left; width:450px; overflow:visible !important /*Firefox*/; overflow:hidden /*IE6*/;}
    .main-content {display:inline; /*Fix IE floating margin bug*/; float:left; width:450px; margin:0 0 0 30px; overflow:visible !important /*Firefox*/; overflow:hidden /*IE6*/;}

    What happens is that the collumns appear one under the other? Can someone explain why that is?

      Are you trying to do just two columns? The problem with your code is that the page container is set for 900px wide. By bumping your widths up to 450px for the navigation and content columns and including the 30px margin, you have 930px, forcing it to render them under each other so it fits in the 900px container.

      So your options are to change where it says 900px to a larger number, say 940px throughout the setup file, although I think some of the images he used would then need to be stretched also.

        Alright, here is a tricky problem that elsa3 ran into (I can’t respond to them by PM because her/his inbox is full). Anyway, they are using this template here:

        http://www.lockpicking.ch/modx-0.9.5/index.php?id=16

        In IE7 the menu item called "Links" works fine, but in FF it doesn’t. However the HTML source that is output looks identical to my test version of the template running here:

        Anyone have any ideas on what is causing this?

          Will I never learn to document everything I do??? I’ve run into this twice before, and cannot remember how it was fixed! >:( >:(

          I note a few errors; for example

          Might want to try to get it to validate, and take it from there.

              I have remembered enough to recall that it involved another container actually overlapping the menu’s container, so that any mouse activity was actually happening to the overlapping container and not the menu item being covered. I think I solved the problem by giving everything around there background colors, one at a time, until I found the offending element. If I recall correctly, simply floating the main menu’s div container fixed it in one case, thus causing it to expand to the length of its inner elements; I believe I ended up giving the menu a high z-index to bring it to the top of the overlapping element in the other case.

                First of all thanks for the work you have done porting the template, it looks like really nice!!.

                I discovered modx some days ago and I really like it but I’m at the point of a beginner sad.
                I have been following your tutorial step by step, but there is something not working for me.
                I cannot see anything in the right container. I have all the chunks, TVs. I’m using Ditto 2.0.2.( I modified the ditto.class.inc.php as well)

                My right container chunk look like this:

                [[Ditto? &parents=’57’ &summarize=’3’ &tpl=’m3_su_BlueBorder’ &total=’20’ &sortDir=’ASC’ &sortBy=’menuindex’ &trunc=’0’]]

                (but anything gets displayed). The chunk m3_su_BlueBorder exists, and the documents under container 57 are published (in fact I have just the WebLogin).

                I’m quite sure it must be something easy to solve for use but not for me at this moment sad Can anyone give a help?.

                  Please take a look at the MODx 101 section that’s stickied along the lines of "My Snippet call won’t work". Long story short, you can’t use single-quotes in your calls. Use backticks.

                    I have tried with all these variations and no one is working:

                    • [[Ditto? &parents=`57` &summarize=`3` &tpl=`m3_su_BlueBorder` &total=`20` &sortDir=`ASC` &sortBy=`menuindex` &trunc=`0`]]
                    • [!Ditto? &parents=`57` &summarize=`3` &tpl=`m3_su_BlueBorder` &total=`20` &sortDir=`ASC` &sortBy=`menuindex` &trunc=`0`!]
                    • [[Ditto? &parents=57 &summarize=3 &tpl=m3_su_BlueBorder &total=20 &sortDir=ASC &sortBy=menuindex &trunc=0]]

                    Nothing appears at the right container.

                    Do you have any other idea why it’s not working for me huh

                      What is in the contents of the boxes on the right? Also, this my changes to ditto were only test on the 1.x series. I am not sure if it will work with the 2.0.2 version. Mind sending me a PM with the login details?
