Nice! Can I have it for my collection?

(you should use fieldset inside of a form instead of a div. I know, picky picky picky! rolleyes )

Thanks, a fieldset makes more sense indeed. Which validator do you use? http://validator.w3.org/ validates fine with div as well.

There’s some minor things still. All CSS to the external file. Convert some of the last tables. But this is more to get it perfect than that it’s really usefull. Also there’s some HTML in some snippets that should be moved to chunks. Oh well...

Sure you can have it. I’ll prepare a zip for you later this week.

eyeball validator version 1.0 wink Yes, a div is legal, but a fieldset is more logically correct. Like I said, picky.

don’t need no steenkin zips! I can rip you off just fine where you sit.

Actually, I’m just going to imitate your style with a very simple 3-column template I already have; I’ll put the inner borders on the side background images instead ("faux columns" style).

Done. Take a look; it’s the "theo" template in the Templates menu. I’ll find my own picture for a nice background.

Nice work! Interesting to see that you’ve simplified the CSS quite a bit. Though IE remains a pain... It doesn’t render well in MSIE6/Suse anymore. I haven’t checked MSIE/Win yet.

Could you tell me if www.koksenzo.nl renders correctly on a Mac?

Firefox and Safari are fine. I do my best to forget there ever was an IE/Mac. Neither fish nor fowl, and no Hebrew support any more.

I’m not surprised about the IE, I have been too lazy to go downstairs and start the Windows box.

I have four basic layouts that I use, two-column with left sidebar, two-column with right sidebar, three-column, and single-column. Actually, I have a single three-column template that you can manipulate in the CSS to just use which columns you want. The stylesheet switcher at http://www.alandaniel.co.uk uses that. (click on the images at the top)

<sigh> guess I’d better go work on the IE issues.

Ok, IE/Win looks good now. Or as good as it’s going to.

I agree what some say about the need for a more user friendly template system.

Modx is good for developers but most people will have difficulty setting it up without step by step instructionrs. Any CMS should be built with the end user in mind. Most people don’t know what a chunk is or a snippet, copy/past html for template building seems primitive. I would rather have a simple template install system that gets the template loaded with the click of a button then have it so you can make modificaitons if need be.
