Test builds are looking good but need lots of polish and shine. We’re replacing the in-built logging system as it’s just plain bloated and causes problems. We also have some things to sort out with a major overhaul (on the inside) of QuickEdit and our search system. Ajax Search is making a strong play here and the skinable manager is just nice. Lots and lots of improvements which we want to make sure are properly addressed.

            Holy Cow!

I think I just wet my pants in anticipation.

            I’m so excited!

And Dang. Look at that. I just became a junior member of the forums.

Enhancements to the webuser and manager user login systems.

Now I’m having trouble deciding if I should continue trying to get my login features just like I want or wait. It is likely the login features will break in the new version?

                my gut feel ??

wait.. till you see the new stuff then adjust to that. Cause the change you have to adjust your login stuff might be big.. unless you make it modular. If you base your code on the old code you possible open yourself to bugs and security issues.

Other sugestion is to submit your adjustments to the dev team, possible they like it so much they mae it standard.. laugh Or a dual optional login part to fit everybodies needs.

The enhancements include better password resetting for webusers and a manager password reminder function.

One thing I’ve wanted to see, but maybe it’s too late for this release. An email validation link where a newly registered user has a link in their welcome email that they have to click to actualy activate their account. Otherwise the user stays inactive.

That’s most likely not going to make the cut unless you can provide the code. wink
