Hmm.. Can’t you just add the page to the manager document group as well?
It didn’t work I tested.
...But I always create admin user/document groups in case I want more manager users. Then I could hide and control the tree.
Without these groups, everything is threated public.
If the change is only for admin (1) and/or (or not) in preview tab I can buy this change. Then I would only need to create a web user Manager
and stop whining!
Is this whole thing fixed already somehow?
Using WebloginPE i see my ’admin page’ and the login button i made switches to logout, so that works fine. When using ManagerLogin i can log in as an administrator and use quick edit. But when i’m logged in as a manager i can’t see what
i’m seeing as a web user because manager users can’t see restricted pages? how can i fix this?

There is a snippet that coordinates a web login and a manager login; you could give that a try.
Susan,
What is the name of the snippet?
Thanks, Ian

This isn’t quite what you have in mind, but it would set the stage for making it fairly easy to implement, as you would need two identical users, one web and one manager. Then a plugin using the onManagerLogin or onWebLogin events could populate the SESSION with the required fields to simulate the opposite login.

I know that I once saw a snippet or a plugin to automatically "log in" the one when the other logged in; for example when you log in to the Manager as "editor" it automatically behaves as if you also logged in to the front-end as the front-end "editor" user, and vice-verse. Have been looking for it off and on for some time now.
You can also do it this way
