Quote from: kudykam at Oct 22, 2013, 12:55 PMAccording your RTFM reader resource should be without any template....
Any other newsletter resources (884) have "newsletter" template.
The doc says:
Use the MODX's original BaseTemplate, without any CSS styles.
Quote from: kudykam at Oct 22, 2013, 12:55 PMUnsubscribe link from email goes to the same resource as subscribe confirmation link right? Then what is virtunewsletter.unsubscribe_confirmation_tpl good for?
After the subscriber visits the subscribe confirmation page, then it will send a "thank you" email back as the respond.
virtunewsletter.unsubscribe_confirmation_tpl => is the template for the email.
Quote from: hurby at Oct 22, 2013, 07:59 PMAll looks good, till including getresource on the mailtemplate, somehow getresources will not be rendered.
the source works fine like so, but is laking getresources when previeuing or sending.
There are 2 kind of behaviors:
1. If it's a recurring newsletter, on the master newsletter, it only keeps the snippet call, but not the output. If you want to see the output, select the "Recurrences" tab, then it will show you the child newsletter which is actually what will be sent.
2. If it's not, then you should see the output of the getResources. I have it working on my sites.
Be Aware!
This snippet can not render getPage, because getPage has inner function that calls resource ID, which is wrong if it is called from outside of resource.
