  • I'm sorry, but I am not sure if I understand your question.

Do you mean that a new site has no content?

A new installation of Revo is empty, with just a very basic template and a single resource with no content. There are no extra add-ons installed. The site is ready for you to build the way you want.

Yes, I read this in basic guide. New site has no content, but I don't have anything in manager too. When you go to manager, you must have some functions (configuring server, site, your profile) but when I go to "Profile", site is clean. I can't edit my profile after clean install? I can't modify anything (language, server, profile, home...) All is clean.

So sorry for my English, I don't know good.

EDIT: Here is a video, if you do not know what I mean smiley Switch to 1080p

EDIT:// Oooooh, now is all OK. I found problem. I must place all files to home folder. MODX can't be in subfolder/subdomain... [ed. note: tunerko90 last edited this post 11 years, 9 months ago.]
      • Ah! That's another problem altogether, then. There are a lot of reasons why this can happen, so we'll try the obvious fixes first.

Try this. Go into your database, and in the system_settings table, find the settings for "compress_css" and "compress_js", and change their values from 1 to 0. Make sure to clear your browser cache, and go to the core/cache folder and delete all the folders inside the core/cache folder.

MODX can be in a subfolder, but if you can put it at the server's web root, it makes things easier.

Quick question, so I have AnythinRating working and I'd like to be able to sort my resources (in evo) with Ditto by rating, how would I go on about that? [ed. note: tonitox2 last edited this post 11 years, 9 months ago.]

You can follow this tutorial in the RTFM: Using Friendly URLs

Failure is just another word for saying you didn't want to try. "It can't be done" means "I don't know how".

                    Hi there!

When creating a new document and assigns it a template, I´m getting a "Not Found, the requested URL... was not found on this server".

I´ve checked that it´s published, that the template is valid and I put some dummy content there just to see that there´s an output.

The funny thing is that this does not happen to the index/home page. Just to next one´s. And just to test, when I try to create a new page (which is a normal-content-not-index-page) with the same index-template that works just fine on the index-page, I´m getting the same "Not Found" output.

In other words, right now I´m not able to produce anything but an index-page, which doesn´t make my client very happy.

I´ve been away from the web and MODx a couple of months but last time I used it, it was on version 2.2.0 and everything was working fine. I upgraded directly to 2.2.5 and did have some trouble with the upgrade which might be the bummer here. When upgrading I didn´t get the option to do an "upgrade". Instead I was forced to make a new install. During the installment process all checkmarks were happy and green.

                    Any thoughts appreciated smiley

Check your FURL settings or .htaccess is in working condition (dont know anything about your hosting)
