the default one modx_
Thanks,
mupett
Sorry, I meant to ask what the database name was, as it is showing as -webs_modx in your warning down there. Is that correct? Can a database name start with a dash?

yes the the name is e-webs_modx, something is wrong in the instllation script?
I just tested the installation with the same database name and reproduced the same error. It appears the dash in the database name is crashing the installation SQL. Can you install into a database without the dash in the name until we can resolve this issue? I know the solution, just need to straighten it out against some recent changes...an update and fix will be available soon...

no I can’t because the name is managed by the hositng account, anyway I’ll wait for the fix.
Thank you very much,
mupett
Understood; I’ll get the fix out to you as soon as possible.
Alright, sorry for the delays, but I finally got a chance tonight to I isolate the issue to two files, instprocessor.php and sqlParser.class.php. They both go in the install folder. I suggest dropping all your tables in the DB and deleting your /manager/includes/config.inc.php created during the failed install. Corrected files attached.
Let me know if it still doesn’t work for you or you need additional help.
