Aha, that explains it.
Another question. If the file is to be sorted alphabetically, shouldn’t "permission_" come before "permissions_". As of now the order is the reverse. I realize different programs might handle this differently, but it would be easier if the sort order is correct. This has happenend in several places in the file.
And you are sure about the other removals in the file? I have the Swedish files ready to send, but I need to know if I should remove the phrases manually or will your routine remove them automatically?

More questions...
I’ve gone through the new lang file and made the changes necessary. However - the phrases for QuickEdit is still in there. They’re not supposed to, are they? Because I’ve found the separate lang file for QuickEdit under assets/modules/quick_edit/lang and I guess that’s where they should be?
Just want to get it right...

QuickEdit phrases will be going out. Manager file only had the older QE phrases, which I think are translated in most files anyway.
The alpha sort is what my system did. You can supply the file back in any order.
My thing basically loads in the existing language files and saves out a new one with just the required lines, so you don’t need to remove lines.

As well as the additions and removals, there have been some changes to English language definitions since 0.9.2.1. These can be grouped into three types. Please look at these in your language files to see if they need retranslating.
Major clarifications or changes of meaning:
$_lang["eventlog_viewer"] - Was "Event log viewer", now "System Events"
$_lang["export_site"] - Was "Export site", now "Export Static HTML"
$_lang["import_site"] - Was "Import site", now "Import HTML"
$_lang["launch_site"] - Was "Launch site", now "View Site"
$_lang["refresh_site"] - Was "Refresh site", now "Clear Cache"
$_lang["users"] - Was "Users", now "Security" (this is the menu title)
$_lang["view_logging"] - Was "Audit Trail", now "Manager Actions"
Titles shortened, meaning largely the same:
$_lang["bk_manager"] - Was "Backup Manager", now "Backup"
$_lang["edit_settings"] - Was "System Configuration", now "Configuration"
$_lang["role_management_title"] - Was "Role management", now "Roles"
$_lang["role_role_management"] - Was "Role management", now "Roles"
$_lang["site_schedule"] - Was "Site Schedule", now "Schedule"
$_lang["user_management_title"] - Was "Manage users", now "Manager Users"
$_lang["view_sysinfo"] - Was "View system info", now "System info"
$_lang["visitor_stats"] - Was "Visitor stats", now "Statistics"
$_lang["visitor_stats_online"] - Was "Visitors now browsing", now "Now Browsing"
$_lang["web_user_management_title"] - Was "Manage web users", now "Web Users"
Minor changes in capitalisation:
(Here I’ve only listed the new definition, "New Document" was "New document".
$_lang["add_document"] = "New Document";
$_lang["add_folder"] = "New Folder";
$_lang["add_weblink"] = "New Weblink";
$_lang["change_password"] = "Change Password";
$_lang["manage_files"] = "Manage Files";
$_lang["manage_modules"] = "Manage Modules";
$_lang["remove_locks"] = "Remove Locks";
$_lang["manager_permissions"] = "Manager Permissions";
$_lang["manage_files"] = "Manage Files";
$_lang["manage_modules"] = "Manage Modules";
$_lang["module_management"] = "Manage Modules";
$_lang["remove_locks"] = "Remove Locks";
$_lang["web_permissions"] = "Web Permissions";

Just a quick note:
these phrases are not in the file.
$_lang["visitor_stats"] - Was "Visitor stats", now "Statistics"
$_lang["visitor_stats_online"] - Was "Visitors now browsing", now "Now Browsing"
Isn’t the visitor stats removed? And if that is so shouldn’t these phrases be removed too?
$_lang["track_visitors_message"]
$_lang["track_visitors_title"]
You are correct Pont... thank you.

There will be an updated and complete language translation kit available in the very near future.

I have created the danish language file for the upcoming 0.95. It would be great if there could be a danish subforum. It was translated from the default english from the svn. I will move on to ditto and quickedit.
