NewsPublisher - Image Template Variable

Been doing some more investigation and I'm not sure why minimisation is coming into the mix as I don't have it turned on in Modx or in .htaccess.

On my local host I have get similar results for the js paths, but when view source and click on the link to the path it shows the corresponding file, however on my hosted site:

However, another question.. what should I expect the paths to be if not minified?

Go to System -> System Settings, type 'compress' in the search box at the upper right and press Enter.

There are some other minimization options that could possibly be affecting things.

Thanks again for you quick response Bob. But I have previously tried this and have all compress settings turned off.

I was going update to Modx 2.2.8pl as that has the recent security fix and see if installing that helps this situation.

However, I updated my local host Modx install and now package manager will not load the view of some of the packages, one of those is Newspublisher and I think the other may be Notify.

Can you be more specific about this? Are they not listed in Package Manager? Anything in the Error Log?

The two issues my not be related so maybe I should start another thread for the packages not loading?

But, more detail... When I go to the package manager page it lists my installed packages, I have show '10 per page' set. If I click to the next page, it just sits there with the 'loading' wheel and doesn't load the list. I then set to show 1 per page and when I click the next it loads the list until I get to 'N' which is Newspublisher and/or Notify, then just sits there trying to load.

I'm not able to check the logs at the moment, but will soon as I can.

Is there a setting to disable packages in the database to help debug?

There is this System Setting: auto_check_pkg_updates.

Did you install NewsPublisher and Notify through Package Manager?

Yes, both installed through package manager and updated to latest versions prior to updating Modx. I'll try the settings, if that doesn't help I'll try another copy of the site on my local host and go through the update again and see what happens.

I have tried setting 'auto_check_pkg_updates' to NO, but this hasn't helped, still sits there saying "loading". I have checked the logs and there is nothing reported at all.

I tried installing a another copy of the site on my local host (without updating from 2.2.6 to 2.2.8) by following the move site instructions and I still have problems with Package Manager not loading certain pages, so I don't think this is a problem with Newspublisher or Notify, but a wider problem.

I'm reluctant to update my hosted site incase I run into problems there too. Any more suggestions very welcome.

I had a similar experience at Bobs Guides when I upgraded to 2.2.8. Package Manager showed no grid at all. Manually deleting the files in the core/cache directory and clearing my browser cache and cookies fixed it.

Hi Bob, tried clearing the cache etc, but still not fixed. I found this other thread here:
https://forums.modx.com/thread/?thread=81413&page=1 Which details the same problem. As this original thread is about Newspublisher TV issue, which I still have. I'll move my comments about package manager over to this thread.
