NewsPublisher - Image Template Variable

Hi All,

I'm using NewsPublisher 1.4.1 and I'm trying to allow my client to upload an image using a simple image TV. When I click on the "Insert and Image" button, I get a blank screen in my popup.

Everything else works fine.

I'm guessing the problem is with my lack of understanding of the whole Context Access ACL policy. I guess I'm supposed to create a new one to allow the image tv to work, but I'm not really sure how to create a new one with what I need.

Are you using the Newspublisher policy for this user group?

Make sure the file_manager, file_list, file_remove and file_upload checkbox are enabled on the policy your using for this user group.

Well, that's where I get confused again. I have one user which is just the admin. Do I have to create a new group? How do I add it.

As you know, I'm totally lost on these super confusing Modx permissions, policies, ACL, whatever...

The instructions just aren't clear to me what I need to do. They explain it as if I understand how it works.

Make a new user group and assign them the newspublisher policy that should solve your issues.

I created a new user group called NewsPublisher, I assigned it the NewsPublisher policy, I included mgr, web. I added the admin user to that group. Still getting a blank window.

I'm still having no luck with this. Anyone have any ideas? I'm probably going to have abandon using this snippet. It would be perfect for this site. I would prefer the user stay in the front end and I'm sure they would appreciate it as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

This can be done I have done it before, just try to get on skype more often and hit me up I'm on it 24/7 I will get back to you just don't get offline.

I just tested it and it worked for me. What happens if you preview the NewsPublisher page while logged in to the Manager as the admin Super User?

Hi Guys,

I'm really hoping you can help. I'm experiencing this very issue. I'm running 2.2.6pl and NP 1.4.2. I have an image TV and also TinyMCE TV. I'm logged in to NewsPubisher in the front end as Admin and when I click the "select and image" button I'm presented with a blank pop-up window.

If I view the source, the HMTL is all present, but it's not loading the MODX resource browser. If I hit the "insert/edit image" in the Tiny RTE, then hit the "Browse" button, it loads the Resource Browser.

This is driving me so crazy. To test I copied the site to localhost and went through all the steps to setup on that server and low and behold in that environment it loads the Resource Browser. The resulting HTML source is much the same as on my Hosted site, so I don't understand why it's not loading.

I've tried clearing the cache, flushing permissions, logging in as different users, changing user settings and tried Firefox, Chrome and Safari. All with the same blank window.

I'm not sure what I can do next to make this work. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
