      After consulting my host support we agree the file is missing.

      Then I browsed the zip file and found the file there. Then I searched the
      files in my site on my machine and found the browsercheck.inc.php file
      in includes folder. I moved the file and uploaded it and still I get this error.

      Here is the error again

      Warning: include_once(../../manager/frames/browsercheck.inc.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mysite/public_html/manager/frames/1.php on line 4

      Then my question should be, where should the browsercheck.inc.php file be located???

        browsercheck.inc.php is in the /manager/includes/ folder. The problem you are having is down to the include path not resolving correctly.

        In 1.php, try changing the following line:
        include_once ("browsercheck.inc.php");

        To:
        include_once (MODX_BASE_PATH."manager/includes/browsercheck.inc.php");

        Does that solve the most recent error?

          Yes thank you very much that fixed the problem but, I have another problem now!

          Last night I installed MODx into another domain and got the same problem which is solved
          now and there I get into the manager after install.

          In mysite.com/manager/ I get three “Welcome to the “MODx Content Management System
          Install Successful!” pages inside the same browser window both in opera and IE.

          I run again Upgrade Existing Install and still have three pages inside the browser but, it is
          different template now. After few min I reloaded the page and it changed from be on top of
          each other to be side by side.

          So, my new problem is when I click the mydomain.com/manager/ link on homepage I am
          taken to mydomain/index.php (don´t know if it should be there as I get two different
          welcome pages on two different domains)

            Now I have another problem on the site where I can access the manager

            Internal Server Error

            The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

            Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

            More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

            Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

            All I did was changing the site name and click save!

            Wondering why I get all this problems to get this up and running normally?

              I might have found the root for my problems, at least some of them.

              In style/MODxGreen/login.html I found this: (which is the default template for my first install)

              <form method="post" name="loginfrm" id="loginfrm" action="../manager/media/style/MODxGreen/processors/login.processor.php">

              It seems to me the to be able to login to manager that media/style/MODxGreen/ has been added to the string?

              All my years online (7) I have never before experienced this problem.

              So here is what I did.

              I DL the zip file to folder on my machine then I click the zip folder and extracted the content to my site folder. Then I open up Dreamweaver 8 and FTP the files to my server.

              The second time I did a fresh install I removed all files from my server and opened up CuteFTP and still the same error as you can see in my previous posts.

              Well, somewhere somehow this was added to the string and I do not believe WinZip, Dreamweaver or CuteFTP did add this into the string but, everything is possible!

              Any ideas how I can get a clean install that works?

                Problem solved. grin

                As I unzipped all files into root along with the root folder modx-0961p2 and then moved all files and
                folders into site root in Dreamweaver and then Dreamweaver updated all links but, somewhere
                somehow the links got messed up and caused all my problems. >:(

                I simply unzipped everything again without the original site root folder modx-0961p2 and
                uploaded and installed again and now everything works as it should be.

                This has not been any problem in the past so this is something to learn from!
