If not yet done, you should manually empty the core/cache folder. Clear the browser cache again. I'd also flush user permissions, log out all users and try again.

OK just done that which I had not done previous but still that right part of the manager wont load to edit resources, any other ideas this is so stressful I thought all was ok when the dns updated.

        Thanks for quick reply

Can I ask which version you upgraded MODX from and what's your current version?

          A few other suggestions:

-- If you can browser the package installer, update any outdated addon.
-- If you have access to System Settings, disable compress_js and compress_css. You can also do this directly from the database using PHPMyAdmin in the modx_system_settings table.
-- As advised by BobRay in a similar post, check your file paths in the following files: core/config/config.inc.php, three config.core.php files (root, manager, and connectors directories).
-- Check the path in the modx_workspaces table.
-- Make sure safe_mode is turned off in your hosting environment
-- I'd also advise rerunning the upgrade install (After backing up your database), espacially if you uploaded your files with an FTP client.
-- Once you've rerun the upgrade install, manually empty the core/cache folder. Clear your browser cache. Then check again.

What's your new hosting company if you don't mind me asking?

            Hi Treigh

I a using MODX Revolution 2.3.3-pl I have not updated Revo my new hosting providers namecheap just imported the site today for me and I then I had this problem, the account had been working ok on the old host just before.

            Thanks

Some files were probably left out when they imported the site. You should definitely upload the modx-2.3.3-pl.zip file again and unzip it from the hosting account, then overwrite the existing files. This will ensure that no file is left behind.

              From here, rerun the upgrade.

Treigh Yes a good bit of success,

It now loads but any page with more of a few lines of content cant be saved it sits there with the progress bar.

I remember I had this before and it was some apache security setting but I cant remember what to speak to the new hosts.

Thanks for all help things are certainly getting better

Glad to see we're making progress!

The issue with resources not saving is usually related to mod_security. The fix usually consists of whitelisting your domain -- Your hosting company may need to give you a hand here. mod_security is further discussed here: Installation on a server running ModSecurity. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't lucky with Media Temple Grid Server. They couldn't help me.

In the meantime, you can save resources using Quick Edit (Right click a resource from the tree). Some times when you hit save from the regular Edit mode and refresh, the resource does indeed save.

                  Hope this helps.

Yes I gave the hosts an example of a page that would save and one that would not and they have go back to say they had to whitelist some mod_security rules but when I tried the sites home page that has lots of content it's still blocked so I have just replied back to them so I am sure they will sort it.

I must say a huge thanks to you for your info I was hanging my head in my hands earlier starting to wish I had renewed with the old host been a stressful day this is a hobby for me not a job so hence not so good when things go wrong.

                    Many thanks
