Client User Receiving Error in 2.3

        I just had the same problem using articles with MODX 2.3.1. After reading this thread and gissrob pointing me in the right direction i noted that the "createdy by" dropdown isn't populated correctly after dismissing the error message. Instead it shows only a "1".

        So i logged in as admin, updated the Access Policy for the affected user group and checked the "view_user" option (see image attached to this post). Now all users assigned to this Access Policy are able to view the user list - and now the Articles extra is able to properly populate the "created by" dropdown. Now the error message is gone and everything is fine.
