    Hi All,

I'm running 2.3.1 with Articles 1.7.8 and I'm having an odd issue with a client user group. This group has reduced perms and is fully able to navigate and edit all resources, but when they go to edit an Article they see the attached error. After clicking "Ok" they are fully able to edit the post.

I'm guessing this is a bug with the access controls we've granted this user, as I've used these same permissions in 2.2.x with no problem.

If anyone has any thoughts they would be much appreciated!

Today I've had what at first glance is an unrelated error (other than the message being the same). See this thread: http://forums.modx.com/thread/92423/code-200-ok-success-false-message-processor-not-found-getlist-total-0-data-object#dis-post-505065

However, I'm guessing that the fix may be the same, namely clear the browser cache and possibly core/cache. The reason why I think it might be the same is that your drop-down lists are not populating properly, just as mine were not.

      Robert.

        Hey Robert,

Thanks for the tip. I've tried clearing browser cache and deleting all files in core/cache, but to no avail. Still seeing that error when logged in as the reduced perm user (though my user with all privileges granted does not see the error).

        Hmm....

Man thanks again, but still no luck. I already have "class_map" selected in the permissions...so it must be another one of these darn perms that's causing it. The question is, which one?!?!

Did you delete the browser cookies as well? Leftover cookies can sometimes cause problems like this after an upgrade.

It looks like a message from a getList processor. With resources, that suggests a problem with either the "Uses Template" dropdown, or a drop-down list in one of your TVs. I'm just guessing here, but it could be a Template or something that appears in a dropdown list in the Input options of a TV. The user may not have access to it because of an Element Category Access ACL entry.

Bob, I don't think it is a TV. Notice that the Created By dropdown has the id in it rather than the description.

Nick, after the message is removed, does the Created By dropdown populate properly, or does it stay with the id. If id, then that is likely to be your problem. Also, you should be getting an error in the error log.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix it. Maybe Bob...

I'm not sure if that's really the issue, though it might be. My dropdowns (e.g., Uses Template) often show IDs rather than text in both FireFox and Chrome, but everything works fine. My display in 2.3.1 doesn't show the createdby field at all. Is that an option you set somewhere?
