Answered MODx 2.2.6 Manager Not Working Correctly. Missing Items & Blank Pages. OMG!

Holy Cow. I was just going to install 2.3.1 as a last ditch effort, and while in the goDaddy file manager selecting current files to backup, my assets and connectors folder just vanished.

I restored them from yesterday, but no idea what happened to them. For sure in order to move or delete, there is a secondary prompt.

And my index.php and my config.core.php in the root vanished also. Site is completely down now.

Uploaded 2.3.1. Recovered Directories from yesterday. Merged Directories. Ran install and only have option for new install.
Thought maybe I needed to update some paths, but there are no folder or files in core/config

???

Good thing I made a backup of core/config/config.inc.php. Modified my new database password, uploaded, and install went flawless.

Now... reviewing the manager to see if all of the old issues are still around.

No Go. File tree all messed up still. Files were listed initially. Then I clicked over to Elements where everything seemed to be listed, but no chunks. Files are listed, but there is nothing listed in assets, but I know there are files in the assets folder.

Tons of errors now related to wayfinder. I'll try to uninstall, then go get it again, or maybe get pdoTools instead.

At a certain point this is getting rediculous. May be time to migrate. At a bare minimum though, I need to at least get the front end of the site functioning.

This is the error when attempting to uninstall. I thought allow_url_fopen was supposed to be off. Why is this telling me it needs to be enabled?

Is it possible that the hack infiltrated wayfinder?

The backend is still messed up. Was able to quickly get pdoTools to use pdoMenu instead of wayfinder, but now I cannot access the chunk containing my wayfinder call to update it.

As well, when I clicked on a navigation chunk, it loaded a web page and returned an error related to TinyMCE not being able to be loaded or something like that.

This is just a mess.

Well, I think at this point it might be too late. Odd that the site is up and running on the front end — with a message about the missing wayfinder none the less.

I've installed pdoTools, but cannot get to the chunk to update the call.

Now stuck on TinyMCE. Deleted and force removed the package. Then re downloaded TinyMCE, but the install came back with a huge ton of errors.

I can't even log out of the manager at this point. I get the prompt for Yes No. Click Yes and nothing happens.
