Is MODx trying to access the suhosin module then? If on PHP 5.3.40 it is not there - then don't we need to change the MODx bit that is requesting it?

If your hosting company can't see what's wrong with just that error message, perhaps you need a new host.

It would appear the suhosin module called for in the php.ini file is no longer where it used to be for the previous PHP version. They either need to relocate and update the path or comment out the module inclusion line from the php.ini.

OK so, since clearing the core/cache folder - no more suhosin errors... now I get these in loop repeats....

PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 106
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'album' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 165
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'id' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 165
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'album' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 166
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'name' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 166
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'album' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 167
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'description' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 167
PHP Warning: Illegal string offset 'total' in /home/goodlond/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/5.include.cache.php on line 168

      Any ideas?????

Looks like MODx errors to me?

Is the only solution an upgrade? I am fearful of doing this so as to not mess up any custom bits I might have on this site...

help! [ed. note: dubbs last edited this post 12 years, 3 months ago.]

I checked the core/cache folder and it still had that file on the server - forced removed that and now still get a server error when viewing the site - but now in the errorlog in the cache folder I get this:

Check your config.inc.php file to make sure you have the correct username and password for the database.

It seems fine to me... It did have an extra wrong character in the password - but I sorted that... but still no joy...

Is putting the original setup folder back on the server and running that as an upgrade a good idea?

Will running the setup on 2.2.5 mess things up? id rather patch and fix what is there than re make the site..
