So the current fix is to change my [root]/assets folder to chmod 755 from 777. Weird or what?
I was getting the error

When I read this article:
https://my.bluehost.com/cgi/help/594 regarding "Bad permissions, Writable by group" it seems to conflict with
http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/moving-your-site-to-a-new-server and the chmod requirements in the modx install process. Unless I specifically 777 some folders during install i get install errors. First time I had these issues moving between servers.
...hopefully this won't cause other issues. I specifically had to set it to 777 during install on linode server I had.
Anybody with any ideas why I have this issue on shared servers?
Thanks
