      Ok, poking at it on my localhost and it looks like something that the Rich Text editor is doing. If I put it all on one line like this
      [[!getResources? &tpl=`chkAlpha` &parents=`3` &limit=`0` &includeTVs=`1` &processTVs=`1` &depth=`0` &showHidden=`true`]]

      it works fine.

      The RTE was adding break tags, and that was breaking things.

          It is really odd, because I have made other custom snippits and they all work fine, even inside that same page.

            Put [[+pagetitle]] in your tpl and see if that outputs anything.

              The getResources call is in a chunk, when I add [[+pagetitle]] to the chkAlpha template, nothing prints out. Is chkAlpha supposed to be a "Template" or a "Chunk"?

                I copied chkAlpha into a chunk, and now it works. I guess I assumed that tpl= wanted a template and not a chunk.

                Thanks!

                  That's why we call them "tpl" instead of "template", to try to avoid that confusion. Whew. Sometimes it can be difficult figuring out just what is going on.

                    By the way, it's not supposed to be good design practice to use HTML style elements any more, fonts and sizes and stuff are all supposed to be done in the CSS.
                    <span id="edit4_Make">[[+tv.tvCarYear]] [[+tv.tvCarMake]] [[+tv.tvCarModel]]</span>

                    And in the .css file, something like
                    #edit4_make{font-size:1.2rem;}

                      Thanks, I am porting an "old" style site, and got stuck on the error, so I have not moved on to removing tables and re-doing the css and upgrading it to modern design...

                      I appreciate your help and patience, I am only a 1 day user of MODX, but so far am really sold on it!
