Answered phpThumbsUp not working after update to 2.2.11-pl

So I updated my MODX Cloud site to 2.2.11-pl last night. and not none of my phpThumbUp image are working, all was working fine before the update!

The generated url is correct:
/phpthumbsup/w/94/h/94/f/png/src/assets/uploads/nieuws/linkedin_logo_1.jpg

The image works if I use:
/assets/uploads/nieuws/linkedin_logo_1.jpg

The /core/cache/phpthumbsup/ folder is empty (I think this must be the problem)

Version:

• MODX Revo 2.2.11-pl on MODX Cloud
• phpThumbsUp 1.1.1-pl

I tried:

• Reinstalling phpThumbsUp
• Clearing cache
• Re-uploading images in manager

Who can help?

It looks like .../www/core/phpthumbsupcache/... doesn't exist. Is it supposed to be .../www/core/phpthumbsup/cache/... ? What's your phpthumbsup.cache_path setting set to?

Yes I tried changing it, it is now {core_path}components/phpthumbsup/cache/ again and still not working.
The cache folders stays empty, error log says the folder is not there but it is... (and is 777)

Ok it is definately something with MODX 2.2.11-pl...
I tried it on another site where phpThumbsUp was working fine (the site was 2.2.10-pl)

Updated it to 2.2.11-pl and same problem.

I see in the 2.2.11-pl changelog:

Update phpThumb to 1.7.11-beta to close security vulnerability
Fix caching of manager menus. Until now, they may not have been ever cached

Could that be a thing?

We'll take a look at that - thanks for bringing this to our attention.

This is likely related to the phpThumb upgrade in 2.2.11. Not sure why the upgrade has caused these issues but it's been found that anything using the phpthumb.class.php is having issues on upgrade.
