Anyone ever figure this out? Running into these same issues here after upgrading to 1.0.14. When I click the little browser button in the insert/edit image popup, I see the KCFinder window appear, but it just says "Loading Files..." indefinitely.
Have you looked for files with "bad" names - i.e. extended characters, excessively long names, naughty symlinks?
I've shared this with the Evo team. Hopefully someone will be able to check it out for you.
All the best,
Jay

At that moment it should be making the thumbs but prolly can't do it.
Do you have a writable .thumbs folder in /assets/ ?
Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity
Could be also bad manager user settings … 'File Manager path' has to be blank to use the system setting. 'Uploadable Image Types' and the other three 'xxx Types' should have checked 'Use System Configuration Setting' to use the system settings.
And of course the system settings have to be valid too.
File Manager path = '[(base_path)]'
File base path = '[(base_path)]assets/'
File Browser URL = 'assets/'

Thanks Jay!
And Rafi, I haven't looked too deep no. There's lots of images uploaded to this site, so that would be quite the job. If that is indeed the cause, I'd probably need to know what to look for specifically, as there are a myriad of files in here (lots of ".thumb" files, etc).
Also, .thumbs folder is present and writable, and the only system setting that I see is 'File Manager Path' with a setting of [(base_path)]. The file manager itself works fine. It's just KCFinder that is bugging out.

Jay,
Any word from the Evo team on this? Struggling to find a solution on this one..
Jako is on the Evo team. I don't know that this is something in their area of expertise. Have you contacted Yama about this? He's the author/maintainer of KCFinder for MODX. I'd be surprised if he could help you out. The project is listed here:

As the site is directing to domain.org without www make sure you're not logged in using
www and the kcfinder opens without www... just a thought.

Awaiting Jako's reply over on github...
Is there a way to just use the old file browser instead of KCFinder?
