    awardle,

I should say that I have built several Blogs based on MODx but the clients were not interested in building a business around the blog. They had established businesses and the blogs were a communication tool not a marketing tool of themselves.

That is also to say that the potential is certainly there for a dev to build a strong, full featured blog matching or beating the functionality of WordPress.

MODx just needs the tools all put together.

    Cheers,

    Jay

If you are trying to build revenue off a blog and understand running a blogging business, then use a dedicated blogging tool no question. If you want to simply get some information out there in the context of an existing site, or a site that’s going to have some other non-blog content, then use MODx. You’ll spend a bit more time getting the blogging features to match WP with MODx, or you’ll spend more time getting WP to look like your MODx site. Pick your poison. wink
