Is it possible to use this snippet for a weblink?
hendo,
Being that this is currently a snippet, the only way I was able to get it to work with a Weblink was by placing the
DocPassword snippet call
inside of a Textarea TV (Template Variable).
That said, you may need to create a custom TV (maybe even Template) for Weblinks you want to use DocPassword on, however this is very simple. Create a new, empty Template called "Secure Weblinks", then create a Textarea template variable assigned to "Secure Weblinks" template. Then, edit your weblink document, change the template to "Secure Weblinks" and drop your DocPassword snippet call inside of the TV...don’t forget to associate the DocPasswordTV template variable to this new template so that you can apply a password!
This example URL is actually a weblink to google.com:
https://www.thepei.com/google (The password is:
google)
So, Yes, this WILL work with Weblinks! Thank you for asking!
NOTE: You’ll also find that (once verified) you can go back to
https://www.thepei.com/google and it will take you straight to www.google.com
