Help with TwitterX

    Hi All,

    I'm trying to get TwitterX to work on a ModX site of mine. I get the following:

    TwitterX Error: Could not load tweets as Twitter responded with the error: 'Could not authenticate you'.

    I have TwitterX running on another site that works just fine and I set everything else the same way. I see the App in the twitter account and I compared how they are setup side by side. Don't know what's wrong.

    Here is my call:

    [[TwitterX? &twitter_consumer_key=`xxxx` 
&twitter_consumer_secret=`xxxxx` 
&twitter_access_token=`xxxxx` 
&twitter_access_token_secret=`xxxxx` 
&limit=`2` 
&timeline=`user_timeline`

&screen_name=`ShammyShine1`
 &include_rts=`1` ]]


    I'm running ModX Revo 2.2.8 and TwitterX 1.3.

    Any help would be appreciated. It worked so well the first time I used it I assumed it would be a slam dunk.

      Haven't used TwitterX but there is a gap after the &twitter_consumer_key before the ` that might be giving you an issue. You should regenerate your keys if these are the ones for your app that you have published here.

        Not used it but theres a space at the end of your twitter_consumer_key, could that be causing the problem ?

              Removed the space. Didn't help. Same error. Thanks though. I will also change the keys when I get it working.

                Then I'm out of ideas aside from resetting the keys and trying with new ones. Using JSONDerulo myself for this.

                  Thanks for your help. I did actually reset the keys and I even created a new app just thinking I might have missed something. I have it working on another site and it just worked right away. So, not sure what to do. May need to try another option.

                    So, I just installed JSONDerulo and plugged in the same Access Keys and Tokens and it works fine on the same page as the TwitterX test page.

                    So the app is working fine. Something not jiving with my TwitterX.

                    I guess it's JSONDerulo!!!

                      If those are your actual keys I would edit the post and replace them with x's or something you don't want people having access to these they can do nasty things with it, just a security precaution wink
