    I need some help...

My hosting provider switched my server that my website was on, and now on the new server it says that MODx is not installed! What do I have to do to fix it or recover what I had? Is there a file I can modify to fix this? Hopefully it’s an easy fix...any help is GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Kev

Have you checked your manager/includes/config.inc.php to make sure it’s still there and is readable?

It’s gone! ;( The only thing there is "config.inc.php.blank", and "config_check.inc.php"....

          What now?

I hope you have a backup... so that you can replace the config.inc.php file...

No backup! Am I completely screwed? I am demanding that they find that file, but who know whether or not they will. Is there any way to recover any of my templates or any of my code?

Thanks for the quick replies, I appreciate all the help.

Well, you can check your database to see if all of it is still there. And check your filesystem to see if the css files and snippets and such are still in the assets folder. It’s possible that the config.inc.php file is still there, just the permissions are messed up and you can’t even see it. Try going in through your domain control panel’s file manager utility and see what you can see.

Oh, and when you do get it back up again, please do a full backup. Files and database.

Again I ask who is your host so I can add them to my "make sure no clients ever consider using them" list?
