Double checked the site_url, and context settings, deleted core/cache again. Same problem.
I ended up rolling back to 2.2.7 with security plugin for now. Hopefully something new will be revealed about multiple contexts and the update.
Hi,
last week i have updated about 10 sites from 2.2.6 and 2.2.7 to the newest version 2.2.8.
Everything went fine and no problems occured. I don't have any of them configured with multiple contexts for different domains though.
I've only set up multiple contexts for the "Babel" package.
Thanks guys for the quick fix of the vulnerability, you are awesome!
Greetings
Harde
Not worked for me - upgraded from 2.2.7 to 2.2.8 and I've lost the ability to 'edit' resources. I can create new ones, but as soon as I save, I just get a blank screen. The resource tree is fine, but selecting any resource (be it document, symlink, weblink) just brings up a blank screen for 'editing'. Elements continue to work fine.
Seeing earlier remarks about TinyMCE (which I had installed), I removed that, still no joy.
Further to my above post, it would appear to be an incompatibility with Gallery - if I remove Gallery, the ability to Edit comes back. If I reinstall Gallery, the ability to Edit disappears again.
I'm pleased to report that 2.2.7 -> 2.2.8 update succeeded without a hitch. However, it would be difficult to build a MODX site that's simpler than mine. For instance, it doesn't use multiple contexts.
I looked just like that in 1964.
I've just tried a completely clean install of 2.2.8 (MySql 5.0.91,PHP 5.2.17, Apache) and Gallery 1.5.2 - still doesn't work, exactly the same symptoms as above. Will trying going back to 2.2.7 and the security patch to see if that works.
OK, never mind, Gallery is not working with 2.2.7 on this particular server either (I'd been testing on a dev' machine earlier) - I assume this is therefore nothing to do with 2.2.8, nor Gallery, but probably a PHP issue instead - will see if I can get the version of PHP upgraded.
