If you’re using Friendly URLs, you can also set Friendly Alias Paths:
Setting this option to ’yes’ will display the full path to the document if the document has an alias. For example, if a document with an alias called ’child’ is located inside a container document with an alias called ’parent’, then the full alias path to the document will be displayed as ’/parent/child.html’.

That should do the trick. Don’t forget to rename the one in the /manager folder as well; that one turns the rewrite engine off, since we don’t want the Manager pages rewritten!

Uhmm? Then why should I rename this one in the manager-folder?

Because all directories will inherit the settings from the .htaccess file in the site root. Any subdirectories you want to behave differently have to have their own .htaccess file to override the one in the site root.

If you look at it, the only line in the one in the manager folder is "RewriteEngine Off". So the URLs for the manager won’t get rewritten.

OK, then. Now it runs well, or at least it should but it doesn’t. When I click on a article link the link will be displayed as it should but the content isn’t formatted by the CSS-file. Means white background-color, coloured link (standard blue) etc. nothing as written as in the CSS file. Any ideas?

Make sure that the <link rel="stylesheet" etc etc /> in your main template is pointing to your actual .css file’s location (usually assets/templates/templatename/whatever.css). I use "view source" a lot in cases like this to make sure I’m styling what I think I am, and that my links are all correct.

If this were the failure, I’d already knew that. The reason why I posted here is, that the obvious thing are right, as they should. Everything’s fine accept this. I can a recall a reason why a url should change if I haven not change the document at all and it won’t change by changing the ht.access file into a .htaccess file, that’s what I did and that’s the reason and the moment when it start freaking me out. wink

Do you have a link available to the site so I can see what’s going on? I’m not very good at abstract conceptualization.
