After installing TinyMCE manually, image browsing does not work

My server's PHP installation which I have to control over only allows me to install Revo 2.1.3. This version's package management does not list TinyMCE so I have to install in manually (ie: uploading the zipped file to core/packages rather then downloading it straight from the provider). I have noticed that this causes issues with when browsing for images on the server. TinyMCE works fine but when I open the file browser I get a server error:

Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

Would anyone know how to go about fixing this?

Can you provide your environment information including the OS?

Its a LAMP stack using Centos

TinyMCE version 3.4.7 works with Revo 2.2.x or later only. If that's the version you're running, I'd suggest to either upgrade your Revo install or revert back to an older version of the editor. Any reason why you're still running Revo 2.1.3?

Yeah - my hosting provider has not updated the PHP on the server. I have moved to a new server put there are still sites that need to be maintained on the old server.

Hi.

I am having trouble with all richtext editors - none is working. I reinstalled ACE, TinyMCE manually, with the package Management, etc. I can't get it run...

Don't know why. I had to turn off compress_css, compress_js, otherwise my backend is blank. I also cannot use versionX...

Hi!

I am using 2.2.7-pl (traditional),

PHP is 5.3, Extracted files on a windows 7 machine. Used Filezilla FTP to put on server.
MySQL-Version 5.5.27
Anything else?

I also tried out a new fresh install, new databse, etc.
Looks like that than...

blank white background - which comes from css_compression and js_compression...
but it seams to be connected to the tinyMCE problem...

The errors above point to your MIGX install.

I'm not sure if it's related to your problem.

To be sure, I'd try the following:

1 - Check your file/folder permissions, especially since you're on Windows. Specifically the following:
"/core/packages","/core/cache", "/core/import", and "/core/export". They should all be writable.
2 - Uninstall and reinstall MIGX since the 'myDB.quite_migx_configs' table is missing. Follow the instructions from the Docs and pay close attention to Step 2.
3 - manually clear your core/cache folder and clear your browser cache
4 - Close all manager sessions
5 - It could be helpful to rerun your MODX install to make sure you're working with Fresh files
6 - Log back in and see if it works

Hi treigh,

thanks for your support. I did all you have written - which folder-Permission should that in the normal case be? For folders, or also all data? permission 750?

I tried to create the migx Action following exactly the Step2 from the docs - but stuck here:

15. Click the new MIGX Action item you created.
16. Click the Setup / Upgrade tab

I clicked the migx Action after page refresh - but I can't find Setup/Upgrade on Click. Thers a small arrow on "migx" when I click it, it disappears, but nothing else happens. Seems something not to be loaded...

That's what I had when I installed it the first time - but nevertheless, migx works... strange. I don't know, what it is.
