I've spent quite a while searching to see the possibilities for upgrading my site from the current Evolution version to Revolution but I'm no clearer as to the best way to approach it.
The site is reasonable straight forward but is likely to become more complex in the future hence thinking that upgrading now is going to be simpler and give more development options than sticking with Evo.
The only 'custom' additions on the current site are a FAQ page and the gallery plug in.
What's the current thinking on the best way to upgrade ? Anyone done this recently ?

Try the Provisioner package. I didn't have any luck with it, but then I didn't try very hard. Definitely better to make the switch now than later.

I switched Bob's Guides from Evo to Revo using Provisioner -- quite an easy transition. But that was a while ago.
Whilst my first reaction was to say "don't", but it's probably not the advice you want to hear. How about posting the question in the Revoltion section? Some people there must have "upgraded" and will probably give you some advice.

Provisioner is still working for importing EVO-sites to Revo.
Had lastly converted a complex site from 1.0.6 to 2.2.7 and used Provisioner to import all Resources,chunks,templates and TVs.
Not snippets and plugins. Most of them was custom-coded and needed some work to get them working the Revo-way.
This all was working better than I had thought.
Ah OK. I'll give it a go then. I got as far as rehashing the index page last night so it will save some work...
