What my commit did was make sure the image and file TVs took a relative width in (in my experience with ExtJS) the best way to make it use the full width of the container, using the anchor option in an anchor layout.
I'm not too familiar with the MIGX code but it sounds like the container MIGX uses isn't using such an anchor layout, and anchor: '100%' is resulting in it taking the entire width of the first anchor layout it can find... the window?
Hey Mark,
thanks for the reply! So what would such an anchor have to be marked up like, a class? And which element should it be (or is it normally) to have that anchor?

I'm talking about an ExtJS AnchorLayout:
http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/3-4/#!/api/Ext.layout.AnchorLayout (which the FormLayout extends:
http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/3-4/#!/api/Ext.layout.FormLayout). Not an anchor as in the < a > HTML element.
I've just spent the past hour and a bit trying to fix this in MIGX but truthfully I can't make heads or tails of how it's supposed to work. It seems to be putting in an awful lot of divs with CSS classes to mimic the divs that ExtJS creates. This would've been easier either using straight up ExtJS or no ExtJS at all :/
=), 1. thanks a lot for taking the time and 2. glad I'm not the only one that could not fix it^^...it kinda sucks, but seems to get in that old code again is the only fix right now...
could you maybe have a look at the critical bug I just filed in the tracker, and try to reproduce it? If this one is happening on every update to 2.2.7, there will be a whole lot of unhappy people =D...

I think you are talking about the fields.tpl
This is not much different from this one:
https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/blob/develop/manager/templates/default/resource/sections/tvs.tpl
MIGXfe on ExtJS 4.2 and how its tvs are generated and included will do this all much cleaner (hopefully)
https://github.com/Bruno17/MIGXfe
I have the same problem, it means you can't edit image Migx image tv's in 2.2.7

Actually you can; hover the mouse over the extreme right edge of the input field and it'll turn into a hand pointer; you can click there and it works. The icon just isn't visible. You can, of course, also enter the image's file name by hand. Any Media Sources will still apply.

I really don't like the way the ExtJS has inserted inline styling to the form fields. Trying to figure out where it's coming from really gives me a headache.
yeah, and that's not all I don't like about extJS =D...definitely a big headache maker for me too^^
