Parse Error - Site will not open

Hi,

I hope someone is able to assist with this - our club website runs on an old version of MODx, and in the last week has stopped working. When we try to view the homepage, a parse error is displayed. Could anyone advise on what we need to do to rectify this? I don't know where to start with this! Thank you in advance.

Can you log into the manager ?

If so go to the home page template and remove all snippits that are in there, and see if the page loads, if so start adding them back one at a time as I think this may be a issue with one of the snippets ( be sure to clear the cach on each save.

Thank you Paulp. I tried doing as you suggested, but it did not work, unfortunately.

Our hosting company have advised it is a problem with the PHx plugin. I have disabled this, and can now access the site. Given that the plug in hadn't been changed since the site was set up, I can't understand why it stopped working!

Have just searched the forums again and found this thread, which seems to relate to the same problem:

Could you please check what path phx is located on the server, and what path is set in the plugin to make sure they match?

Also what version of MODX and PHP do you have on the server?
