I'm using the AdvSearch add on to filter content a series of pages/templates on a site. I'm using a check box TV as the filtering method, but I also use the same check box TV to display HTML content on pages. I'm hoping I can make one TV do the whole job, but I'm not sure it's possible.

It works very well since the chunk displays the results on multiple templates throughout the site. However I can't use the chunk value in a search filter form (MODX renders the chunk).
The easiest solution is to just create a new TV, but I think there might be another way to do it.
I'm wondering if any of the following are options. 1. Can I set a query hook to test if either the TV box is checked and pass a value other than the chunk? 2. For just these filter pages, is there a way to pass a value for the checked box other than that chunk value?
Is there an simpler option I'm missing?
The site is using MODX Revo 2.2.6-pl (traditional) running PHP 5.3.15
